Collov Labs announced the launch of NewEyes AI, a visual personal agent that connects what people see to tasks they can get done. Available on smartphones and designed to work with compatible smart glasses, NewEyes AI uses visual context and voice instructions to understand a task, reason through the steps, and use tools to act. The camera becomes a starting point for creating, organizing, and completing work in the world around the user.

“Your point of view gives AI the context to help you act,” said Xiao Zhang, founder and CEO of Collov Labs. “We’re building NewEyes so you can start with what you see, explain what you need, and let your personal agent carry the task forward. Smart glasses make that interaction hands-free.”

NewEyes AI turns compatible smart glasses into a first-person interface for AI that can perceive, reason, and execute tasks. The glasses provide the wearer’s view and voice; NewEyes connects those inputs to phone-based edge perception, a local agent runtime, and cloud reasoning. Users can interact through the glasses while detailed results remain available in the companion app. This architecture gives wearable hardware access to a visual agent without requiring the full AI stack to run inside the glasses. How NewEyes turns visual context into action

Built around a core architecture of perception, reasoning, and action, NewEyes AI converts selected visual frames into structured events, then compacts that history into context an agent can use across a task. This connects what the user sees to multi-step reasoning and tool use, while carrying relevant observations forward as the task develops.

Context compaction is designed to limit redundant visual information in the agent’s working context. The hybrid edge-cloud architecture assigns perception to the phone, provides a local runtime for the agent, and connects to cloud reasoning for more demanding work. Together, these components support a wearable experience that can keep track of a task and produce useful outputs in the companion app.

Visual context becomes useful work

NewEyes AI applies this architecture to everyday visual workflows, including:

  • Parking reminders: Point the camera at a parking sign. NewEyes AI interprets the displayed restrictions in the context of the current time and creates a reminder through a connected calendar tool.
  • From sketch to website: Point the camera at a physical pitch deck or wireframe. NewEyes AI extracts its content and layout and turns that visual input into a website draft.

  • Inventory and shopping: Point the camera into a closet or pantry. NewEyes AI organizes visible items into a collection and uses saved item context to identify what is missing before the next purchase.
  • Visual planning and creation: Point the camera at a space or object. NewEyes AI interprets the scene and generates visual ideas that reflect the user’s request.

Built on research and production experience

Silicon Valley-headquartered Collov Labs brings together researchers with backgrounds at Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Yale and has spent over two years deploying specialized visual AI models in real-world environments. NewEyes AI builds on this production experience. The company’s research spans visual understanding, controllable generation, and model efficiency, with work published at IJCAI, AAAI, ICLR, and ICML.

Across its product portfolio, which includes NewEyes AI and Collov AI, Collov Labs reports more than 1 million total users, over 10,000 paid subscribers, and more than 300 commercial partners in real estate, retail, and e-commerce.

Collov Labs raised $23 million in Series A financing led by Brightway Future Capital, with participation from Taihill, MindWorks Capital, and Brightway Future Capital.

Availability

NewEyes AI is available on smartphones and compatible Ray-Ban Meta glasses, with plans to expand support across more Meta glasses and other smart eyewear brands. Collov Labs is extending its visual-agent software layer across these devices, giving people more ways to access their personal agent, and turning what they see into a starting point for getting things done.
