Trendos launches “Ad Radar” to reveal which brands are advertising inside ChatGPT

Vilnius, Lithuania, May 20th, 2026, TechnologyWire

Trendos, an AI search visibility platform that helps brands monitor how they appear across large language models, today announced the launch of Ad Radar, a new feature designed to track sponsored placements appearing inside ChatGPT responses.

The launch comes as conversational AI platforms increasingly evolve into discovery and recommendation engines for consumers researching products, services, and software. With ChatGPT surpassing 500 million weekly active users and OpenAI beginning to introduce sponsored placements directly into AI-generated responses, marketers are facing a new advertising environment with limited transparency and virtually no monitoring infrastructure.

Trendos says Ad Radar is designed to address that gap by allowing brands to identify which advertisers appear inside ChatGPT responses across tracked prompts, how frequently those placements appear, and what messaging competitors are using.

“AI search is rapidly becoming a new discovery layer for consumers, but visibility into advertising activity inside these systems has remained extremely limited,” said Gintarė Rimolaitytė, CCO at Trendos. “Ad Radar was built to help brands understand who is appearing in AI-generated responses and how messaging within conversational search environments is evolving.”

According to Trendos, the Ad Radar system continuously monitors tracked prompts across ChatGPT sessions and extracts data tied to sponsored placements, including advertiser impression share, ad titles, descriptions, and destination URLs.

The company positions the feature as part of a broader shift toward AI search visibility and competitive intelligence within large language model ecosystems. Unlike traditional search engines, where advertisers often have access to auction insights, ad libraries, and keyword monitoring tools, conversational AI advertising remains largely opaque.

Trendos stated that Ad Radar is intended to provide brands, agencies, and marketers with a clearer understanding of how advertising inside AI-generated answers is beginning to develop as a category.

In addition to Ad Radar, the Trendos platform enables brands to monitor how they are recognized, cited, and described across different AI models over time. The company maintains historical visibility data across more than 2.3 million brands and offers prompt discovery and tracking tools intended to help organizations identify shifts in AI-generated perception and search visibility.

The platform also includes a built-in prompt generator that allows users to create and customize prompts for ongoing monitoring and competitive analysis.

The launch of Ad Radar reflects growing industry attention around AI-powered advertising, contextual recommendations, and the monetization of conversational AI systems. As AI-generated search experiences continue to expand, marketers are increasingly evaluating how visibility inside these environments may influence consumer discovery and purchasing behavior.
